Strings Unlimited: the violin studio

I studied piano from age 4-16, and again in college, beginning violin study at age 7. In 1967 while visiting potential universities, I observed Dr. Suzuki and the Japanese tour group in their first visit to the USA. After graduating from Texas Tech, marrying, and moving to Sacramento, CA I learned more about the Suzuki philosophy. Convinced by a colleague who studied with Dr. Suzuki in Japan I began instructing my oldest daughter in Suzuki style violin training. Attending many institutes as a parent with as many as three of our daughters, I finally began teacher training in the early 1980’s. I am a  member of Suzuki Association of the Americas, North Texas Suzuki Association, American String Teachers Association, Texas Music Teachers Association, and Harmony Club of Abilene, NFMC, serving in various offices in the local organizations.
