Pintrest Mahoney's Point Miniatures About Studio Ant Contact

StudioANT

StudioANT is a stopping place for fun, just fun.  It began as a media company that I have run for a very long time.  You will see a bit of history below.  Here you will find my doll house called Mahoney’s Point, a lighthouse that my husband and I built and furnished with things from all over the world.  The kitchen has copper pans from Australia, wine bottle and glasses from Germany, and a ships bell from Belgium.

You will also find my cook book that I wrote for my daughter who was getting married, a link to my Pintrest  site, and some of my designs in miniature.

Last is my blog.  I never thought I would be writing a blog but here it is.  Newly retired from a varied career in graphic arts, marketing, and TV production, I am now at home with husband and family. Along the way I have lived a little, laughed a little and learned a lot. Life Lessons Learned that I hope to share with you here along with contributions from my daughter Peggy. Some household tips, recipes from time to time, maybe a craft project, and reflections on life will be shared but one thing you will find...I’m no Martha!

I hope you enjoy yourself.  It’s just fun for me and I hope you have fun too.

A little history and profile of Anne

Being in the sign business for more than 30 years, I have followed in the footsteps of my family, with my grandfather having started the business in the early 1900's, pin striping wagons and painting the roofs and sides of barns, the first outdoor advertising.
My background is in art.  I studied since I was a small child under the watchful eye of my aunt, attending the classes she gave at her studio. With her encouragement, after high school I continued my studies and became a commercial graphic artist and took over the family business specializing in outdoor advertising. 1975 was the year of change and Hase Sign System became Pfeifer Publications.  I have designed and painted everything from small signs, banners, to lettering trucks and bill boards.  I continued to do logos and ad campaigns, for businesses and politicians, including business cards, newspaper ads, bill boards, TV commercials and radio spots.
In 1995 we branched out to the Internet doing web graphics and web sites.  I still do web sites today but only at my leisure.
The name change to StudioANT (the ANT standing for Anne and Tom and our logo ant is for all things small) was made in 2003 to include other aspects of my business.  I made and sold "all things small"…miniatures, doll furniture, doll houses, etc. But I did that just for fun!  Along with that came semi-retirement.  Today brings retirement and leisure, time with my family, and time to shop, eat with friends, do a few graphic projects for friends.
Marketing has always been my business and in my blood.  Marketing, where we make mountains out of ant hills with heights of unique creativity in whatever we do, big or small.  And it is all fun.
