Obverse and reverse shown. Modern scrimshawed elephant ivory imported from Hong Kong in the mid-1970's. Beautifully done, superb crafsmanship. The ivory plugs over the rivets are skillfully disguised on each side by a ship and whale. The tips are perfectly closed - #100 DMC® Cordonnet clicks classically as is being wound or paid out. As a former sailor, this is my favorite shuttle for almost all work. Purchased from Lacis 1998. |
