Instructions: The palm leaf can be used as an appliqué to ornament colored Taffeta, applied to small baskets, at the back of bonnets or on other articles. Trace the pattern of the braid on stiff paper with ink and after the drawing dries baste the braid to it. The tatting is made from No. 100 thread and the completed motifs are connected to the braid with No. 200 thread using needle lace stitches.
Each of the large, outer rings forming the border: 5 Dk., 13 P., each separated by 1 Dk., 5 Dk. The small rings: 4 Dk., 9 P., each separated by a Dk., 4 Dk.
The rings of the inner band are made: 5 Dk., 5 P., each separated by 1 Dk. 5 Dk. and the small rings, 4 Dk., 4 P., each separated by 1 Dk., 4 Dk.
