BELVELLY
CASTLE Visit the city of Cobh (means cove) in County Cork,
Ireland and see Belvelly Castle. Built by Hodnetts in
the thirteenth
century, Belvelly Castle stands near Cork Harbour. The Hodnets
of Belvelly are said to have come from Shropshire,
England where
there is still a village named Hodnet. The castle
is between 70 and 80 feet high and 30 feet wide. (Source - Journal of
