An exciting addition to our collection. We have acquired a pair of O.P. Laticinctus, a rare and secretive Asian Ratsnake. Relatively new to the hobby, and rarely seen in collections. These snakes are commonly know as Broad Banded Mountain Ratsnakes, or Bamboo Ratsnakes, adults reach a length of around 36", with a small body and small head. Hatchlings appear with yellow and red, or orange and red bands, maturing to a brilliant red with thin black bands. These snakes require specific husbandry, and are very shy and secretive, they require several hiding places, and often stay in them or hidden in burrows beneath the substrate. Probably a snake for the more experienced keeper.
