2005 was the first year (since we owned our farm) that our apple tress
actually produced anything worth mentioning. This load of
apples, though
went far beyond "worth mentioning". The limbs were
so loaded down with
apples that some of them actually (unfortunately) broke. We
picked about
a dozen 50-pound sacks full of apples, and still had enough
left hanging on
the trees to make our "critters" very happy when
those apples fell.
May I mention, that we never once
pruned or fertilized, or in any other
way "treated" our trees. Mother Nature provided
this splendor all on
her own, without any kind of "human intervention",
and she truly out-did
herself in this case.
