GRANDMA'S BREAD PUDDIN'

INGREDIENTS:
6 eggs
2 cups granulated sugar
(substitute 1/2 cup brown sugar if you like)
2 cups (a 12oz can) evaporated (canned) milk
1 cup water
1 tsp Cinnamon
(double or even triple this amount if you like cinnamon taste)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
(double or even triple this amount if you like the vanilla taste)
1 to 1-and-a-half loaves of white bread
(it can be a few days old, just make sure it's NOT molded!)
butter or margarine to grease your baking pan
(9x13 or larger pan)

PREPARATION:
* thoroughly mix sugar and cinnamon together in a LARGE bowl
* add eggs, mix again
* add canned milk, water, and Vanilla Extract, mix again

* crumble up the bread into the mix, stirring frequently, until you have a somewhat "thickly",
   "lumpy", but NOT STIFF batter
(if desired, remove the crust from the bread first -- requires more bread!)
* continue to stir the batter, breaking up larger bread pieces
(if your batter got too thick, add a little water,
   if the batter is still too thin, add more bread one slice at a time)
*
cover batter and let it sit while you preheat the oven to 350°
* thoroughly grease large
(at least 9x13) baking pan
* stir batter one more time, then pour into baking pan and spread evenly
* bake at 350° for 1 hour, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean
* slice into equal pieces, serve hot or cold

TIP: For some flavor variety try your favorite fruits (canned or fresh) either mixed into the batter
         or as topping.
(When using canned fruit in heavy syrup, try substituting some of the water with syrup)
