Dear Mamma,

Just a word to you with information as to my good health and good times. We came about 70 miles today and a pretty good day's drive for these large trucks we have (3 1/2 tons) I am a bit tired tonight from driving as it's new to me. Passed through Columbus this afternoon. It's sure some busy place and very pretty.

We had a two hour drive in the dark tonight as we haven't any lights on yet and had to make this place. One of the boys got his leg broke when the driver ran into a telephone post.
