This latest CD by West Virginian Todd Burge was produced by 2006 Grammy Winner Tim O’Brien and recorded at John Prine’s studio, The Butcher Shoppe in Nashville TN, with David Ferguson (Johnny Cash, John Hartford) as engineer. The band includes Dirk Powell (Loretta Lynn, Sting)-Cajun Accordion & Keyboards, Dennis Crouch (Alison Krauss, Robert Plant)-Bass, Kenny Malone (John Prine, Darrell Scott) -Drums, Dan Dugmore (James Taylor) -Pedal Steel and
Tim O’Brien on Fiddle, Mandolin, Bouzouki and backing vocals

For the uninitiated, Burge is one of West Virginia's
foremost songwriters, and his catalog spans nearly 15 years of recordings. His musical roots are deeply engrained in local folk history, and the songs on his newest release, "Hip About Time," only gives Burge a stronger hold on the scene that nurtured him.

Burge is joined by Nashville songwriter Tim O’Brien, “Mountain Stage” band members Ammed Solomon and Steve Hill, multi-instrumentalist Billy Matheny, youngster Will Burge and Ohio songwriter Bruce Dalzell.
