Instructions
To play,
you will need to energize one section at a time, by placing a
usable Runestone within each portion. To place a Runestone, it must be
adjacent to at least one other stone, and must share it's color OR it's
shape with each of it's adjoining Runes. The one exception is the Rune
of Odin, which appears as a blank, gray tile -- As Odin is the all
knowing, the Rune can manifest itself as any shape or color (In other
words, it can be joined with any other runes, regardless of color or
shape).
When
placing your Runestones upon the board, as you create
horizontal or vertical rows (from edge to edge), the Runestones will be
removed from the board, leaving their previously occupied areas still
energized. You can use this to your advantage, as when the board
becomes overcrowded, finding places to place your Runestones will
become more and more difficult.
While
determining where to place your Runestones, you must also
keep an eye on the Fire of the Magi -- It will continuously grow, and
once it reaches it's peak, your life (And game) will be consumed within
it. However, as you place your Runestones upon the board, it will help
to smother the Fire, allowing for more precious time to contend with
the Runes.
If you reach a point within the
game that you're unable to
locate a place for a Rune, you can always throw it into the Fire (by
right-clicking the mouse or clicking it onto the fire), but doing so
will add instant fuel to the Fire. Your present Runestone will be
discarded for a new one, but the Fire will flare up with its new fuel!
