A Lubbock Unitarian Elevator Speech

“We Unitarians believe in using reason in all human affairs, we believe in compassion for all people, and we have concern for our planet.

As a group, we neither endorse nor repudiate any concept of god. While having compassion for people of all faiths, we hold no religion to be true and unquestionable – not even our own.

As individuals, we may subscribe to any responsible system of belief or non-belief that we find meaningful.

We gather together to learn from each other, to share joys and sorrows, love and friendship, and to make this world a better place for ourselves and others.”
