Oct 19 Special Dialogue Forum: October 19, 10:00AM:   View a 15 minute DVD clip highlighting the growth journey of the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship. See what it has in common with our church. Then dialogue about how the path that church took might help us. We hope to build on the ideas from the workshop held on September 20 and add to the enthusiasm generated.

We will suspend Intersections and have a special Forum at the 10 o’clock hour on Sunday. We will show a 15 minute DVD clip highlighting the growth journey of the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship. See if you can spot both Tom and JoAnna Johnson, former members at Carbondale, who are now members of our church. Then we’ll have a dialogue about how the path that church took might help us. We hope to build on the ideas from the workshop held on September 20 and add to the enthusiasm generated.

We will have these Dialogue Forums every few weeks to update the congregation and have open discussion about various activities in the church. These will include the work of standing committees, the Board, and the new Strategy Committee, aka the Dream Team. The first of these new forums was held September 14, the topic being the congregational workshop scheduled for the following Saturday, September 20. Besides the newsletter and announcements during the service, these Dialogue Forums will be another method of communication to make our activities more transparent and widely known. They will also be two-way: a means for members of our community to provide frequent and timely feedback and suggestions in a public venue.
