Our Favorite Fishing Spots

Ratcliff Lake - Bass, bluegill, redear and catfish. This 45 acre lake is part of the Davy Crockett National Park and does not allow motors on the lake. We have many club activities in this beautiful park. In summer, the lake is covered with moss, weeds and lilly pads that pretty well kills fly fishing.

Kurth Lake - Bass and bluegill. This is a city owned fee only lake of 770 acres where the bluegill are plentiful during spawning. This lake has many gators!

Houston County Lake - Trophy bass and bluegill. This 1,600 acre lake is located just outside of Crockett, Texas.

Pinkston Lake - 560 acres - bass and bluegill. This lake is located between Nacogdoches and Center.

Lake Nacogdoches - 2,210 acres - nice bass and bluegill.

Sam Rayburn Lake - 114,500 acres. We do not fish this lake much because of big bass boats.

Toledo Bend Reservoir, 185,000 acres - bass and bluegill. We fish two areas of this lake where club members and friends have property.

White Rock Creek - bass and bluegill. This creek feeds into Lake Livingston near Trinity, Texas. Excellent for canoeing and kayaking. White bass in season.

Beavers Bend State Park - rainbow and brown trout, small and large mouth bass, walleye and bluegill. This park is located just north of Broken Bow, OK but is only four hours from Lufkin. It's two cold water rivers are stocked every other Thursday so it is an excellent trout haven.

Texas Coastal Waters - our entire state coastline has very good marshes, beaches and inlets for speckled trout and red fish. Anahuac is the closest access, Galveston Bays are good and Rockport is great.
