This is not a formal club with boring meetings, we try to always have a guest speaker to talk about some area of interest related to fly fishing. Since our county is located between two large rivers, we are surrounded by National Forests, Sam Rayburn Lake is only minutes away and Stephen F. Austin University is 20 miles from Lufkin, we have a wealth of professionals to choose from. The U.S. and Texas Forest Services, Texas Parks and Wildlife, River Authorities, fishing guides, Entomologists, and the list goes on.
As a club member, you have the opportunity to help plan our activities and volunteer to assist in these activities. You are encouraged to volunteer for a club officer's position since these offices continue year after year. Some require very little time and effort.
