Colleen Ringrose was born in New York, then lived and studied in California.  She holds an MFA in Studio Art from John F. Kennedy University (Berkeley, California) and was recently featured in a juried alumni show.  In 2002 Ms. Ringrose joined the faculty at Cape Fear Community College where she teaches Design, Metals and Art Appreciation.  Although she trained in painting, in recent years Colleen's work has evolved to include multiple media and a variety of conceptual forms.  Her awards include Best In Show at the "Assembly Required" exhibition at Wilmington's Bottega Gallery.  Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States.
