White River Gang

Come Join Us - Here is What You Need to Know

NOTICE: no shot in Jan ...see you in Feb!

While not as infamous as the Daltons or the James Gang, the White River Gang is one of the most ornery, connivin', fun lovin', bunch of gun packin' cowpoke this side of the White River. It's been said they even have an outlaw or two in the gang and several women folks were seen in their midst. The leader of the gang is Loco Toro and there is Ironsides (alias...mule man); a tall, lanky guy with a bushy mustache and best known for lowering some ears.Others are Arkansas Tom, Arkansas Harper, Arkansas Bell, Lucan, Squirt, Quick Trigger, Mad Dog Mark, Dead Eye Deb, Draggin' Jack, Trap House Don, Ole Yankee, Old Arky, Double Down Dave, Lakeview Drifter, HogJaw, Deaf Smith, Cajun Cowboy, Kid Thorn, and others from time to time. It's rumored that they meet once a month in a mountain hideaway for some friendly shooting and some good chuck wagon chow. Gather a posse and help track them down. They were last seen about 11:00 am north of Mtn. Home right off Rt. 5 in a back woods place called Twin Lakes Gun Club on the second Saturday of the month. You could see smoke risin' from the fires and hear the laughter in-betweens the gun shots. Seems they were having some sort of shooting contest, just for bragging rights. Check out the photos of them in action. They are a Cowboy Action Shooting Club whose members share a common interest in preserving the history of the Old West and competitive shooting

The White River Gang is a member of SASS (Single Action Shooting Society).  We make a concerted effort to follow SASS rules and guidelines.  The SASS Shooters Handbook is available at www.sassnet.com .
