The Epic

The Epic is the next generation of rodeo enhanced surf kayak. It has a more forgiving bow than the Dream Machine and has a tighter arc in the turns. The lowered rail line gives more hold on the face and the middle chine allows the paddler to lean harder on the turns without plowing the knee humps. The redesigned deck provides a more balanced transition when swapping ends. This is the most advanced surf kayak I have ever designed. The Epic will fit paddlers 5' to 6'3" and 120 - 220 lbs. The two halves of the boat can be trimmed to size the paddler and the skill level. The Epic was designed for intermediate to advanced paddlers, but is forgiving enough for a beginning surfer under 180 lbs. Length: 7'5", approx. weight 22 lbs. Starting price: $1350.00

The Epic and Dream Machine, Comparison View

The Dream Machine

This design uses the new breed of rodeo deck with a enhanced surf machine bottom. All paddlers will be amazed at the response the boat gets while surfing on the green face and delighted with the ease of performing vertical maneuvers both off pitching lips and the soup. Wave wheels and paddle-out barrel rolls are built into the design. The Dream Machine can fit paddlers from 5'4"-6'3" in height and 150-220 lbs. Length: 8'3", approx weight 23 lbs. Starting Price: $1300.00

The Surf Machine

This is the original design in the Wold Ski Custom "machine" line. This high performance play boat was designed to perform all the high-end rodeo moves on both the river and the ocean. It has a fast rocker with a channeled hull; this, combined with rodeo boat deck, allows the boot to spin, slash and tumble. The Surf Machine is the perfect choice for the smaller to medium sized paddler who wants a surf boat that can push the limits of both surfing and tumbling. The Surf Machine can accommodate paddlers from 5' to 6' in height and 100 - 190 lbs. Length: 8'3", Approx. weight: 20 lbs. Starting Price: $1200.00

The Big Machine

This high performance play boat was designed to fit the larger paddler. This boat will perform all the high-end rodeo moves on both the river and the ocean. It has a fast rocker with a channeled hull; this combined with rodeo boat deck allows the boot to spin, slash and tumble. The Big Machine is more buoyant than the Surf Machine, so it is easier to paddle out through the big waves. The Big Machine will fit paddlers from 5 ft 8 inch - 6ft. 8 in height and 190 - 260 lbs. Length: 8'5", approx. weight: 25 lbs. Starting price: $1500.00

The Terminator

Both the Terminator and T-2 are International Class Surf Kayaks. The boats in this class have to be 3.5 meters long, with the seat at least 1.5 meters from one end. The bottom can have no concaves, channels, or fins. This competition category was designed to standardize the craft so that the paddle surfers would be judged on their ability, not the boats. However, my boats will perform some of the top end maneuvers that only high performance surf boats and wave skis could execute before. The advantage of these boats is an easier paddle out, quicker ranging, wave acquisition and down the line speed. The down side is that the boat's length makes it difficult to do 360's and tight cutbacks on smaller waves. The Terminator will fit paddlers 5' - 6' 4" in height and 100-260 lbs. Length: 3.5 meters, approx weight: 26 lbs. Starting Price: $1450.00

The T-2

The T-2 was designed in 2000 to take advantage of the new, shorter length requirements for the International Class Surf Kayak. This new design incorporates all the deck features of the Surf Machine. The T-2 is very easy to paddle, fast down the line, and easy to spin. This boat dominated the U.S. team trials in 2000 by winning in both the International class and the over 9' class. The T-2 can fit paddlers from 5' to 6'2" in height and 100 - 240 lbs. In 2002 I surfed the T-2 to my 15th consecutive year as a member of the U.S. kayak surf team. Length: 3 meters, approx. weight: 26 lbs. Starting Price: $1400.00

Das Boot

This classic surf boot has a tri-hull planing surfboard bottom with a buoyant and comfortable kayak deck. The rails are soft in the bow and hard in the stern. The Das Boot will do 360's, off the lip re-entries, and floaters. This boat really shines on the paddle-out, due to the increased nose rocker, the planing hull, and the stable buoyancy. I recommend this design to the paddler who loves to surf, but is not interested in performing vertical tumbling moves. The Das Boot can accommodate paddlers from 5 ft - 6ft. 4 inches in height and 100 - 220 lbs. Length: 9', Approx. weight: 22 lbs. Starting Price: $1250.00

Wave Skis

The ultimate paddle craft for pure surfing expression is the wave ski. The average length is between 7ft. and 9 feet 6 inches. I do offer a very stable 10 ft. 6 inch ski that will easily out surf any plastic sit-on-top. All wave skis incorporate a planing hull with surf board rails. Because it is a sit-on-top, foot straps and a seat belt are used to hold you firmly on top of the craft. Thigh straps can also be used to hold the paddler on the wave ski. The American free-style board is finless, but the 'World standard' Australian design comes with a tri-fin configuration. At Wold Ski Custom I design a Wave Ski to fit your personal needs. Aerials, vertical tail slashes, 360's, soup hops and retentive tumbling are all possible on a wave ski. The disadvantage is the paddle-out and the wave acquisition.

Custom Wave Ski: 1 layer of 7 oz. E and 1 layer of 6 oz. S glass, wrapped construction using Epoxy resin over Styrofoam. Epoxy resin is 30-40% stronger than polyester resin. (Carbon or S2 composite $150.00 extra)

Approx. weight 18 lbs-22 lbs. $950.00-$1300.00 (Price depends on size and weight of customer.)
