Welcome to the West Virginia Association of Administrative Law Judges, an affiliate of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary

The West Virginia Association of Administrative Law Judges is a non-profit organization formed in March 2007.  Membership is open to those employed as adjudicators at the federal, state, and local government levels, including administrative law judges, non-attorney adjudicators, hearing examiners, and agency heads who sign decisions.  Associate memberships are available to law professors and administrative attorneys, among others.

The group's objectives include the promotion of integrity and professionalism in the administrative law process; providing members with a thorough knowledge of the judicial process and legal principles applicable in administrative hearings; keeping members advised of precedent-setting decisions and legislation that affects adjudicators; sponsoring meetings and conferences in order to promote the continuing education of adjudicators; promoting the development of skills and techniques for the conduct of fair and impartial hearings; furnishing and exchanging information to Association members and state agencies in order to enable both to better perform their functions; and providing a forum through which members from time to time meet and exchange ideas and professional experiences of import to adjudicators.
