Sewing Leather
A re-enactor sews leather in a Civil War Encampment

The Farm Museum is very fortunate to have a group of Civil War re-enactors from the area who converge on the Farm Museum during our spring celebration. They camp in the nearby area. During the festival they live as best as they can in the style of the period sleeping in tents and using period furnishings. They wear uniforms of the period and their children play with antique toys. They cook period meals over open fires and conduct marching drills.

See a picture of the re-enactors firing their rifles and a number of folks in period costume.
