Kanawha Commanery #4 has a benevolent commitment to helping people without the ability to obtain needed medical assistance to correct vision problems. Our financial support to the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc. over the years has been generous. Each new member to Kanawha Commandery #4 is given a paid life-time sponsorship in the KTEF. This life-time sponsorship is a financial donation to the KTEF, and since 1998 has resulted in contributions totaling $3,660.00. Also, over the past eight years Kanawha Commandery #4 has elected to make additional contributions totaling $27,602.00. The following is a quote from the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar USA, that further describes the Eye foundation mission: "To provide assistance to those who face loss of sight due to the need for surgical treatment without regard to race, color, creed, age, sex, or national origin provided that they are unable to pay or receive adequate assistance from current government agencies or similar sources and to provide funds for research in curing diseases of the eye." www.knightstemplar.org/ktef |
