ATX 5th recognized with article and
picture in August 17 issue of Pflugerville
Pflag
Pflugerville, TX--The ATX 11U team was recognized in the most recent
edition of the Pflugerville Pflag,
a local community newspaper that is published weekly and distributed to both
Pflugerville and Austin
residents. The periodical brought
attention to the great season that the boys conclude this past spring and
summer, finishing with a final record of 35-18 which included four tournament
championships and a runner-up position in another. The article also mentioned the fact that the
team played “up” in the summer HoopZone 6th grade league yet they
still managed to have a strong showing, posting a 5-1 record and finishing in
second place. This was a great gesture
made on behalf of the coaches, players, and parents to be recognized in this
manner. Go ATX!

season with final record of 35-18
Pflugerville, TX--The ATX 11U team conclude the current Spring/Summer
season with a final record of 35-18 which included four tournament
championships and a runner-up position in another. The players and parents all had a great time
and most are already eagerly anticipating next season. This team will take a brief break from
basketball during the FALL season (August-October) to allow the boys to all get
accustomed and acclimated to middle school.
Coach King will conduct TRYOUTS toward the end of October for the new 6th
grade team with the thoughts of possibly expanding the roster to eleven or
twelve players. It is anticipated that
the majority of the 5th grade team will return and reconvene in
October to begin competing in an OPEN/SELECT league either in Cedar Park
or Austin. Those new players who may be interested in
earning a spot on the upcoming squad should contact Coach
King directly in early September.

ATX 11U reach the Quarter Century Mark with 25
wins
Pflugerville, TX--The ATX 5th grade team achieved a milestone this
past weekend by reaching the 25 win mark for the current Spring/Summer season.
This young team, that was originally formed just this past March, has managed
to win three out of the eight tournaments in which they have played as well as
placing second in a fourth tournament. Most of these youngsters had never been
exposed to this level of competition prior to joining ATX so both the players
and parents should really be proud for what they have accomplished during this
short time. Next up for these young boys is a visit to the Alamo City
during the July 1st weekend. The team hopes to conclude the current season with
a trip to Waco
on July 14th.
