Mrs. Sallie Ferry
NORFOLK-- Mrs. Sallie Mary Ferry, 62, of 409 Warner Circle, Roland Park, wife of Andrew R. Ferry and daughter of Spencer and Mrs. Emma Cure died in a Norfolk hospital Wednesday at 6:55 p.m.
A native of Winton, N.C., she lived here 40 years.
She was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Church, a past president of its T. E. L. Sunday School Class, and a member of its Women's Missionary Society.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Louise Hoppe and Mrs. Mildred E. Forehand of Norfolk; a brother, Dave Eure, and a sister Mrs. Emma Smith, both of Winton; and five grandchildren.
The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Talbot Park Baptist Church for a funeral service Saturday at 2 p.m. to be conducted by the Rev. Ernest L. Hoots. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The body will be in the church at 1 p.m. Saturday. [apparently from a non-N.C. newspaper -- I guessed on the death year to be consistent]
