  1. In accordance with reference (a), you are authorized to wear the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for Outstanding public service with the Naval Weapons Station Morale,k Welfare, and Recreation Youth Soccer Team's and the Charleston Area Science and The Citadel Engineering Fairs from August 1993 through August 1996.

  2. As a volunteer soccer coach for four seasons, you have selflessly donated numerous hours of  your valuable off duty hours to the betterment of your community.  I am certain your efforts have greatly benefitted and are highly appreciated by the 62 young boys and girls of your four soccer teams.

  3.  In addition, every spring you have also volunteered your time and energy as both an engineering judge and volunteer for both the Charleston Area Science and the Citadel Engineering Fairs.  Through your involvement, you have influenced many Junior High and High School students to reflect on their future and emphasized the importance of their studies, especially mathematics and the sciences, in that future.

  4. Your active support of these organizations is a testament to your desire to better your community through support of its youth.  You are highly commended for the leadership, guidance, and organizational skills you have shared with your community.
