Earth-Prime was supposed to be our world; home to DC Comics, Incorporated. At one time or another, the Flash and Superman both visited Earth-Prime and were assisted by DC employees such as Julius Schwartz, Cary Bates, Elliot S! Maggin, and Curt Swan in their efforts to return to the Earth-1 universe.

This world was thought to be without super-heroes but later a super powered alien named Ultraa was reported to have been found in the Australian Outback. Prior to the Crisis on Infinite Earths, it was revealed that infant Kal-El of this universe's planet Krypton had been transported to Earth-Prime before Krypton's sun went nova. This Kal-El was adopted by a couple named Kent, who named him Clark. Young Clark Kent's super powers manifested prior to the COIE and he was a participant in that storyline.
