Alexander Preston, b.7-8-1796 d.8-1866, son of Walter Preston and Anne Montgomery, married Miss Clark and went to Kentucky to live. (Alexander was named after his older brother who died young.) Alexander and Miss Clark had four children:

1. Ellen Preston died unmarried in Texas.
2. Elizabeth Preston died unmarried in Texas
3. Samuel Preston was a lawyer. Died in Texas
4. Anne Montgomery Preston married Clayton Gillespie in Texas, they had one son.
