John Biddulph
b. abt. 1640
John Biddulph, son of Francis Biddulph and Frances (or Margaret) Preston moved to Ireland and settled at Rathrobin. According to one account he was murdered by a prisoner there. The house was magnificent and is described in "Umma-More" and "An Irish Boyhood", by William Magan. The house remained in the family until 1922 when it was burned by the IRA. Rathrobin is located just outside of Tulach Mhor (Tullamore) in County Offaly, about 70 miles west of Dublin.
John married Unknown and had a son Nicholas Biddulph ca. 1670 who married Charity Unknown b. xxxx d.1753.
Their son John Biddulph b.ca.1700 married Unknown and had a son Francis Biddulph 1727-1806 who married Eliza Harrison in 1765. Eliza died 1827 aged 90.
Their son Francis Harrison Biddulph 1774-1827 married Mary Marsh b.ca.1773 d.1861 aged 88.
Their son Francis Marsh Wellesley Biddulph b.ca. 1810 married Lucy Bickerstaffe.
Their daughter Annie Adela Waller Biddulph 1847-1926 married in 1867 Captain John Willcocks b.xxxx d.1918.
Their daughter, Florence Willcocks 1877-1925 married in 1897 Benjamin Ivan Tilly b.xxxx d.1953.
Their daughter, Erina Doreen Tilly 1906-1978 married in 1931 Arthur Douglas Henderson 1892-1960.
Michael Henderson 1932- married in 1966 Erica M. Hallowes 1934- . They have one child Juliet R. E. Henderson b.1972.
