David Robinson Preston b. 4-25-1803 d. 3-8-1850, son of Walter Preston and Anne Montgomery, married Janet Creigh of Lewisburg, West Virginia. They had 6 children:

1. Thomas Preston died young.
2. Mary Preston died young.
3. Fairman Preston died young.
4. Walter Creigh Preston married Sybil Davis and had 2 sons:
• David Preston, died young.
• Alfred Preston, a Judge in Beckley, WV. He married Blanch Barger. They had no children.
5. John A. Preston married twice, first to Sallie Lewis Price and they had two sons.:
• Samuel Price Preston
• James Montgomery Preston.

John A. Preston who was a lawyer in Lewisburg, WVA, married secondly Lily Davis and they had two sons.:

• John A. Preston II.
• Walter Creigh Preston of Cincinnati, Ohio.
6. Davidella Preston, last child of David Robinson Preston and Janet Creigh Preston, married Judge Thomas W. Wright of Tappahannock, VA. After his death she moved to Richmond, VA to live with her children.
