Jacob Preston, the 5th child of Samuel Preston and Susannah Gutterson, and grandson of Roger Preston, was b.2-24-1681 in Andover, MA and died after 1742. He moved his family to Windham, CT in about 1720. He was a blacksmith and it is believed he died in Ashford, CT. He married Sarah Wilson on 6-17-1702 and they had 7 children:
