Letitia Preston 1776-18xx
Smithfield Prestons

Note: My principle source of information is a book by Mary Preston Gray called "The Family Tree", in the case of Letitia Preston she has two separate entries. In one she shows 12 children, another shows 9 children. Yet another source states they had 7 children. I am sure the difference is that only 7 lived longer than 11 years.

In my Documents section, see Memoirs of Letitia Preston Floyd, written Feb. 22, 1843. It contains her recollection of the history of the Smithfield Prestons, Col. James Patton and others who settled in southwestern Virginia. Supplied by Anne Baker. There are some differences in her recollection and other information on the Prestons. Take your choice.
