Chapter 1:  Energy Interactions and Material Mass

Section 1:  The Subquantum Energy Bridge

Humankind has postulated an all-encompassing, nonmaterial transcendent realm located beyond, yet in communication with the undeniable material realm experienced by human sensory perception for countless millennia. Various individuals have formulated a theoretical solution. Nonetheless, a physically real process or means of linking the nonmaterial (subquantum, prequantum)1 transcendent realm and the material realm of existence has remained elusive.

Particulate matter, mechanical, potential, and kinetic energy have been extensively investigated over the course of time using the appropriate state-of-the-art methods of each era. Indeed, according to Einstein's popular equation E = mc², the rest energy and the so-called relativistic mass of a material particle in a closed or isolated (conservative) material system are considered to be essentially equivalent and interconvertible. On a deeper physical level or scale, however, it should be noted that particulate matter and massless, objective, physically real primordial energy per se are qualitatively separate and distinct.

Historically, and by definition, particulate matter that possesses physical mass, occupies space, and can be weighed is material in nature. In contrast the massless electromagnetic radiative energy of heat, light, and magnetism that occupy space yet cannot be weighed are nonmaterial in nature. Interestingly, despite intensive investigation and many discoveries relating to mass in the 19th and 20th centuries, mass itself remained a mystery.

The challenge offered by the unsolved mystery of objects with mass like the electron and massless objects like the photon ultimately led this author to the discovery of the universal principle of energy in 2001. It is succinctly stated as:

Fundamental, irreducible primordial energy exists in the absence of matter,
but matter is entirely dependent upon energy and cannot exist in the absence of energy.

The universal principle of energy clearly eliminates the boundary between material mass and fundamental, irreducible nonmaterial primordial energy. Moreover, it defines matter/mass as a localized state (physical phase, aggregation) of energy immersed in the nonmaterial energy domain. It also opens the primordial energy domain to scientific investigation.

One totally unexpected consequence of discovering the definitive boundary between the finite material domain and the infinite energy domain of physical reality just-as-it-is is the concomitant discovery that the phenomenon called 'space' has no actual independent existence. It turns out that so-called space – which seems to encompass the material universe and pervade the internal and external distance between discrete instances of particulate matter – is simply the conspicuous obverse of the all-encompassing fundamental, irreducible, nonmaterial primordial energy domain.

Why hasn't the nonmaterial primordial energy domain been discovered before now?

Human eyes cannot see energy that has a frequency above or below the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum, thus – with the exception of visible light – the electromagnetic spectrum and the all-encompassing, pervasive, irreducible nonmaterial energy domain of the perpetual puzzle of Nature are hidden from view.

Beyond the bound:

First principles cannot be deduced from any other principle, and the hallmark of first principles – their fundamental simplicity – becomes apparent only after their discovery. For example, the laws of thermodynamics and the universal principle of energy in physics.

As science enters the 21st century CE it is abundantly clear from Quantum Electrodynamics (QED), Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), and accelerator/collider experiments that the material phenomena in the foreground of the perennial puzzle of Nature emerge from the fundamental, pervasive, nonmaterial primordial energy domain which provides the irreducible foundation and background of the complex puzzle of Nature.

Moreover, the universal principle of energy makes it clear that the physically real, nonmaterial primordial energy domain is all-encompassing and exists beyond as well as within the undefined boundary of our finite, physically real material universe. Hence, 20th century collider experiments not only confirmed that matter/mass is a conditionally relative state or phase of irreducible nonmaterial energy as predicted by QCD, collider experiments also demonstrated the limitations of the Standard Model and the scope of contemporary physics.

The much broader scope of the universal principle of energy implies that the material domain and the massless nonmaterial energy domain which transcends it are linked by energy interfaces and processes. Indeed, it seems to me that the unexpected subnuclear energetic activity, the so-called confinement exhibited by the gluon field is an important primary example of nonmaterial/material domain linkage.

Energy interfaces that link the nonmaterial and material domains can also be seen as interactive subquantum (prequantum) energy bridges for massless ultrahigh energy and ultrahigh frequency information transfers from the omnipresent nonmaterial energy domain to our open (nonconservative) material system at a level and on a scale that greatly exceeds the very high energies and frequencies of massless electromagnetic gamma ray radiation. In principle hyperenergy and hyperinformation transfers in the opposite direction also take place.

The comprehensive new physics described by the universal principle of energy, The Energetic Holographic Paradigm (TEHP, pronounced "teep") model of physical reality just-as-it-is, and the nonmaterial/material hyperenergy and hyperinformation transfers to and from our open (nonconservative) material universe further suggest that particulate matter is a conditionally relative sequential series of periodic, synergistic, four-dimensional holonomic image events which are created in, stored in, and projected from a transcendent nonmaterial energy domain and holonomically reconstructed within the conditionally relative nonmaterial energy domain that encompasses our local space-time continuum.

Large amounts of contemporary atomic and nuclear theory may be subsumed as the new physics of the energetic atom and the massless nonmaterial energy domain, respectively, replace the traditional physics of the material atom and provide the underlying nonmaterial carrier of the dynamic Maxwell-Lorentz-Einstein field. In principle total energy may be conserved comprehensively (globally) in the compound closed (conservative) nonmaterial/open (nonconservative) material system.

A few insights:

  1. Our finite, tangible material universe is encompassed by, and permeated with omnipresent nonmaterial ultrahigh energy and ultrahigh frequency information.
  2. Ultrahigh energy (hyperenergy) and ultrahigh frequency information (hyperinformation) transfers take place on the intangible nonmaterial energy level of particulate matter (i.e., on the subquantum level of physical activity) rather than the tangible, macroscopic material level human beings see, hear, touch, taste and smell.
  3. In principle the hyperenergy and hyperinformation transfers at any nonmaterial/material subquantum energy interface take place well beyond the limited scope of classical physics, special or general relativity, quantum mechanics, quantum electrodynamics, or quantum chromodynamics.
  4. Complex closed (conservative) nonmaterial/open (nonconservative) material reality encompasses not only at least three dimensions of nonmaterial space and one dimension of nonmaterial time, but also at least three dimensions of material space and one dimension of material time within the comprehensive, all-inclusive nonmaterial/material present moment.
  5. The arrow of time inexorably points from the past to the future in each and every nonmaterial or material holonomic image event of the comprehensive, all-inclusive nonmaterial/material present moment.
  6. Hyperenergy and hyperinformation transfers from the nonmaterial domain to the material domain have a significant effect on the net energetic activity in an open (nonconservative) material system.
  7. Hyperenergy and hyperinformation transfers from the nonmaterial domain to the material domain minimize the effects of thermodynamic entropy in particulate matter on all material levels of activity within our open (nonconservative) material system.
  8. Natural and artificial vacua are encompassed by and pervaded with the hyperenergy and hyperinformation of the nonmaterial energy domain.
  9. Some nonmaterial energies at the lower end of the hyperenergy frequency spectrum may exhibit novel gravitational effects within our open (nonconservative) material system.

Note:  In these essays and The Energetic Holographic Paradigm (TEHP) model of physical reality just-as-it-is the usage of the words "energy" and "energetic" includes the new 21st century physics meaning of the words, namely, being of or relating to fundamental, irreducible nonmaterial primordial energy.
