SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: Effective March 31 2017, I have officially retired from Charleston Medbase, and the working world. I have retired in order to spend more time at home and spend time with my wife. I am trying to do the things we wanted to do all those times I had to work, holidays, emergency call outs and the strange schedules.
NEWS: Steve McClure has also retired from the position as Director of Jackson County EMS, and Troy Bain has been selected to replace him effective October 2018. Also Station 403 has moved into a new updated modern station in Kenna, WV.
RUMORS: The State is revamping the recertification requirements and procedures, along with constant updates to the Statewide Protocols.
EVENTS: Healthnet 2 Aeromedical Service has moved their base to Jackson County Airport near Ravenswood, WV (I-18)
TRAINING:
SCHEDULE CHANGES: There have been several new employees at Jackson County EMS, stop by and say hi.
OTHER EVENTS OF INTEREST: West Virginia is in the process of going to the National registry system of certification.
HIRING ANNOUNCEMENTS: Employment information can be had at the Directors Office on Maple Street, Ripley West Virginia, during normal operating hours.
