Marshal D. McMahan

D. McMahan came to Texas around 1890. He settled in McGregor Texas and farmed for a living. In 1910, he became the City Marshal of McGregor Texas in McLennan County. D. was known as "Uncle D." by the citizens of McGregor and for carrying two pistols. D.'s youngest daughter, Lena McMahan married James (Jim) J. Williams in 1905 who later became the City Marshal of McGregor around the late 1920's. Jim Williams served as City Marshal until the late 1930's. Jim's history as a City Marshal was rather eventful.
