Mellie brought much love into many
hearts.
Mellie was stricken with a mysterious central nervous system
disorder in l999 and she could not stand or even raise her head.
She surprised many by pulling through this and 2 years later,
she was finally able to climb up on the couch again and use the
stairs!
Our dear sweet Mellie left us November
21, 2002. Her passing left a huge void but she will remain in
our hearts forever. What an honor it was to have dear Mellie
with us for 9 of her 11 years. She touched the hearts of many
people in her life including me, who needed healing and her final
period here truly was a healing for her to go on her path. Mellie's
loss brings many thoughts to mind but I want to share what especially
stands out. Love your hounds and also help the ones who need
rescuing however you can help, be it contributions, adoption,
fostering, or helping those involved in rescue in even the smallest
way. I am forever grateful for my most special rescue girl Mellie
who will always be the best gift I have ever received
