Father, Son and Holy Ghost

[ Fender Telecaster ] [ Fender Stratocaster ] [ Gibson Les Paul Custom ]

In 2006 I finally bought a Tele. It's a '69 with non-original electronics and has been refinished natural. It looks like it was originally butterscotch. I haven't decided yet whether to try to find the period-correct parts for it or just leave it as is. It sounds pretty good as is.

The Strat is a mid-70's USA model with flat pole pieces. I bought it around 1980 and installed individual DPDT switches for each pickup. It really sounds good with the neck and bridge pickups active simultaneously. I recently refretted it.

The Les Paul Custom is a 1976 model with stock pickups that I bought around 1982. I've replaced a broken jack plate but it's all original other than that. I played it through a Johnson J-Station on the instrumental tune "Borderline" available at SoundClick.
