Acoustics

[ Yamaha acoustic ] [ Framus acoustic 12-string ] [ Yamaha classical ] [ Rogue electric-acoustic ]

The Yamaha FG-180 was given to me by David Hudson, one of my best buds in high school. I recently refretted it and am happy with the results. I used it to record "A Couple of Beers" available at SoundClick.

Bruce Turner, a classmate and bandmate of mine, along with Scott Rogers, in the Miltown Folk Band at Baylor College of Medicine, traded the Framus 12-string to me in exchange for a pretty good clone of a Gibson SG-style bass. This guitar has one of the lowest actions of any 12-string I've ever played. Of course, it helps that I keep it tuned a major third below standard.

I bought the Yamaha G231 classical guitar at a local pawnshop. It's a nice guitar.

The Rogue electric-acoustic is the first guitar I've bought new. I can't believe how good it sounds for a cheap Chinese guitar.
