Cort Flying V

This guitar came to me via eBay as a purported Cort Flying V. It was white and had a cheap vinyl pickguard on it. When I removed the pickguard, I discovered that there had originally been a second pickup in it at the neck position. There was a block of wood glued into the pickup cavity and there were cracks in the finish at the neck joint. I filled the rest of the cavity in with Bondo, sanded everything down and spray painted it in glossy charcoal sparkle. My daughter Anna painted the rose on the bass side leg and the vine on the back of the neck and I coated the whole thing with spray lacquer. I tried to convince Anna to let me put a white pickguard on it, but she wanted red.
