"BAMBOO COTTAGE", available in November 2006, is a newly renovated 1940's cottage with lovely handcrafted stained glass windows and wood floors. This cottage is very clean and comfortable, as are all of our cottages. It is located just minutes across the Neuse River from downtown historic New Bern. 

This charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage has a large living/dining room, eat-in kitchen, screened porch, a sunroom and large deck overlooking the "bamboo jungle garden" as Nick calls it. This comfy cottage has privacy and yet is close to everything.

New Bern is a beautiful, historic, small town. There are all of the historic sites, as well as, the natural beauty of the area. "BAMBOO COTTAGE" is just another perfect spot to enjoy them both. The cottage is located just one house back from the Neuse River. Although is isn't directly on the river, it has all of the advantages. It has great views and nearby water access. Our "BAMBOO COTTAGE" guests also have access to a canoe, kayak, and Sunfish sailboat for their use.

Just across the river is the town itself with it's many interesting destinations, including Tryon Palace, museums, restaurants and shopping. And if you would like to venture a little further, the ocean and beaches are less than an hour away, and the quaint waterfront towns of Beaufort and Morehead City are even closer. The Croatan National Forest is just outside of New Bern and offers hiking and nature observing. 

Amenities: 

Air Conditioning/Heat, TV, Stereo, CD Player, Library of Books, Games and Videos, Full Kitchen, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Cooking Utensils Provided, Washer, Dryer, Gas Grill (BBQ), Screened Porch, Deck, Access to a Kayak, Canoe, Sunfish Sailboat, Boat Rentals and Boat Ramps Nearby, etc., etc. No Pets & No Smoking inside. Please bring your own linens (Q, T, T). If you use ours, they need to be washed, dried, folded, and put away before you leave.

Rates (in US Dollars):

March 15 - December 15..... *$125/night..... *$750/week.....*$1,500/month (when available, except Summer)

Winter..... available for monthly rentals only..... *$1,500/month

*Plus a $50.00 cleaning fee and $100.00 fully refundable security deposit. 

($400.00 fully refundable security deposit for monthly rental.)

Pets and smoking not allowed inside.
