Nick Mathews Inc. is a NC licensed (#48772) residential and commercial building contractor. We have been serving Craven (New Bern), Carteret, and Pamlico Counties for 20 years. We specialize in historic restorations, new additions, new homes and renovations of any kind. We have an excellent reputation and a list of references to match it.

During the last couple of years, we saw a need for and so added Waterfront Vacation Cottages. Our first cottage, which has been totally renovated, is aptly named "CEDAR SUNRISE" for it's location on Cedar Island (Carteret County), NC and the unforgettable sunrises seen from the island cottage.

Our second cottage was completed in the Fall of 2004. It is named "SANDY GARDEN" for it's location on Sandy Point in New Bern and it's location in the middle of a perennial garden, with fabulous sunsets seen across the New Bern City skyline.

Our third cottage, "BAMBOO COTTAGE", available in November 2006, has just been newly renovated. It is a quaint 1940's cottage with handcrafted stained glass windows and wood floors.

Our fourth cottage, "SANDY POINT HOUSE", is coming soon. It is a 4 bedroom, 3 Bath waterfront home. We hope to have it ready in 2008.
