Here are a few sound clips of my Gibson Mandolin. No professional recording equipment, just a computer microphone plugged directly into the soundcard. Nonetheless, hopefully it'll give you an idea of how my mandolin sounds. I love it's balanced tone, but the cutting power is what amazes me. I don't know if that is an attribute of the varnish finish or the woods used, or maybe the combination of the two, but it has that great Bluegrass tone and cutting power a Bluegrasser has to have.
