Education

     I won a Salamagundi Scholarship and briefly studied under Cliff Young.

     Internationally known George Gach was a great influence and encouragement in my painting career.

     Etching was also of interest to me and I studied with Ruth Leaf a master of intaglio.

     I have always been interested in my surroundings therefore my paintings show a strong communion with nature.

     I have been teaching oil painting at the Craven Community College for the past 20 years. I try to instill upon my students the importance of careful observation.
