Circles

When I first started placing all this info on Wicca on my site, I decided that I needed to include a page on casting the circle. After all, I am a witch, and witches are known for casting their circles. lol. Well, I started with a blank page, and 3 months later; I was still looking at a blank page.

Let me state for the record: casting a circle is not difficult. Nor should this page have been such a trial for me. My only problem with circles, is that there is no one right way to cast one. There are many ways to cast a circle and they all work. But, after analysing my feelings on the subject, I finally came to peace with the idea that I am not going to be writing out the instructions for a circle on my site.

From the time I was a very small child, I have felt a connection with, not only divinity, but all living beings. It never concerned me that divinity have a name. I was never concerned with the names of the trees I spent time around. All I knew was that I had something to love and call upon just because they were there. Names meant very little. And, I have always just reached out with my feelings to all beings with no thought of would they receive the message? I knew they would. Magic is like that for me also. When I cast spells, I don't wait, plan, gather, and then cast a circle. I just get together whatever I need, and go with it. For me there is very little pomp and ceremony involved. (Although I have cast circles in times of need).
