Colors For Stones and Candles
Color is very important in magic. Especially when using candles and stones. When you think of the color pink, for example: you think of love and gentleness. When you think of the color red, you think of fire. Following is a list of the magical associations of the different colors. Most of the books that I own have separate color associations for candles and stones. But, I have found that most of the energies assigned in each of the lists is basically the same. So, I use only this list.
Red: Health, energy, strength, sexual potency, passion, courage, protection, defensive magic, will power, and conquering fear or laziness.
Orange: Encouragement, adaptability, stimulation, attraction, sudden changes, control, energy, power, to draw good things, and to change luck.
Yellow: Intellect, confidence, imagination, power of the mind, creativity, gentle persuasion, action, attraction, divination, concentration, inspiration, sudden changes, communication, eloquence, travel and movement.
Green: Abundance, fertility, good fortune, generosity, money, wealth, success, renewal, marriage, balance, employment, prosperity, healing, and growth.
Blue: Truth, inspiration, wisdom, occult power, protection, understanding, good health, happiness, peace, fidelity, harmony in the home, patience, and healing.
Indigo: Meditation, neutralize another’s magic, stop gossip, lies or undesirable competition, and to balance out Karma.
Violet: Success, idealism, higher psychic ability, wisdom, progress, protection, honors, spirit contact, break bad luck, drive away evil, divination, healing severe diseases, meditation, and religion.
Pink: Love, affection, romance, spiritual awakening, healing of the spirit, togetherness, compassion, and relaxation.
Magenta: Very high vibrational frequency that tends to work fast, so usually burned with other candles; quick changes, spiritual healing, exorcism.
White: Purity, spirituality and greater attainment in life, truth, sincerity, power of a higher nature, wholeness, protection, purification, and all other purposes.
Black: Reversing, uncrossing, binding negative forces, discord, protection, releasing, repel dark magic and negative thought forms, and to absorb illnesses.
Brown: Attract money and financial success, influence Earth Elementals, concentration, balance, ESP, intuition, study, and spells involving animals.
Gold: Great fortune, intuition, understanding, divination, fast luck, financial benefits, attracts higher influences, and male deity powers.
Silver: Removes negative powers, victory, stability, meditation, develop psychic abilities, and female deity powers.
