Timing For Spells
The days are governed by the planets, so certain spells are strengthened by doing them on certain days. Know however, that if you have a spell that you feel cannot wait for the specific day of the week to be performed, then don’t wait. I will give you an example. If you have reason to believe that a child you love is being abused, but don’t have enough proof to go to the authorities and get the child taken out of the situation, I beg you not to wait to do a protection spell. If this is Tuesday, and you know that protection spells are best done on Saturday, the very real *need* to see this child protected will balance the fact that it is the wrong day. Likewise, if you want a much better job making more money, but you are not in a situation of great *need*, it might be best to wait until Sunday to do the spell.
Sunday: Rules career, ambition, fortune, hope, money, success, and healing.
Monday: Rules dreams, theft, psychic powers, home, and feminine qualities (including childbirth).
Tuesday: Rules war, courage, men, sexual energy, prison, enemies, and matrimony.
Wednesday: Rules fear, loss, communication, education, travel, acting, writing, and debt.
Thursday: Rules wealth, clothing, political power, law, business, insurance matters, and desires.
Friday: Rules love, friendship, beauty, music, the environment, strangers, and the arts.
Saturday: Rules karma, protection, property, agriculture, inheritance, and building.
The seasons also play a very large role in the timing of certain spells. As stated earlier, if you have a definite *need* that can’t wait, forgo waiting for the season, time of the day, or day of the week to come around.
Winter: This is the time of introspective magic. Time to do meditation and magical exercises designed to refresh you for the coming spring. Time to banish addictions, habits, and disease. All things associated with Earth.
Spring: This is the time for ecological rituals. Starting seeds and gardens, healing, psychic awareness, paying bills, and purification. It is also the strongest time for fertility. All things associated with Air.
Summer: This is the time for courage and strength, magical energy, physical energy, friendship, love, and marriage. All things associated with Fire.
Autumn: This is the time for new possessions, money and employment. All water magic.
