- DISTRICT PROJECT
(Key Clean-Up) -

:: General Information ::

In the past, the T-O District has chosen a District Project that has to do with fundraising and helping a service organization. We realize that many of the district projects, such as the Governor's Project and the Season's of Service, require our Key Clubs to raise money. This year we wanted to do a project that had nothing to do with money or fundraising. We chose a more hands-on project for our District Project this year: Key Clean-Up. Key Clean-Up is any project that you can do to help your community. You can help build a park, fix a fence, or just clean up along the road.
Key Clean-Up is any project that you can do to help your community. You can help build a park, fix a fence, or just clean up along the road. Each club must have two hours of service for every member and a detailed report of everything done with this project. You need to keep all sign-in sheets and have the club president and faculty advisor sign them. You need at least two forms of publicity, such as a newspaper article or a school announcement signed by your principal, etc. You also need to have a collage of pictures articles, anything that describes what you did with this project. All of these must be accomplished to earn a patch for the District Project. Good Luck! Go Clean!

- GOVERNOR'S PROJECT
(Make a Wish Foundation) -

:: General Information ::

  • It is our pleasure to introduce the 2006-2007 District Project: Brighten a Day...Just a Wish Away, with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish foundation grants wishes to children who have life threatening diseases. Their organization is completely thrilled to know that T-O has chosen them to serve this year and they are supporting us every step of the way. They have no doubt we can reach our goal and grant two wishes by raising $10,000. Dig in and learn about all the great fundraising ideas and projects your club can complete. See how the Texas-Oklahoma District can help this amazing foundation!

    :: What ::

  • Make-A-Wish Foundation. Our primary goal is to grant each of our wishes (one in Texas and one in Oklahoma) and bring happiness and smiles to their faces. Not only do we want you to get involved in the fundraising part but also the volunteering part by getting involved in your local chapter.

    :: Where ::

  • There are several Make-A-Wish chapters across Texas and one main chapter in Oklahoma. Their contact info is on the PowerPoint presentation which you can download below. But you don't need to live near one to participate!

    :: How ::

  • There are many ways to get involved with this year's District Project. Our primary goal is to raise enough money to grant one wish for each state ($5,000 for each wish). With some big efforts from our clubs, it is definitely possible! For all the information, check out the downloads section here.
