John Camm* was sheriff of King & Queen Co. in 1734. John had a brother Thomas Camm
of Hornsea, Yorkshire, England, whose son Rev. John Camm was named as a nephew in John
Camm's will dated 3-17-1766. John Camm married on May 22nd, 1722, Mary Bullock*
b.11-15-1703 and d.1-1-1753 at the age of 49 years, 1 month and 17 days. Mary was the dau.
of Richard Bullock and Alice Unknown b.1683 d.8-22-1759. John and Mary lived at
"North Bank", the Bullock's old homestead, on the Mattapony, now (1930's) the
home of John's great-gr-gr-grandson, Malcolm Burke. Richard Bullock, Jr. 1701-1727,
probably Mary's brother, is buried near the "North Bank" house. Richard Sr. and
Alice were married in 1701. (Data from Camm Bible Records). John's will was probated
2-20-1767.

Of the 9 children born to John Camm and Mary Bullock, 5 died in childhood or infancy.
The children that survived were:
Elizabeth Camm b.2-12-1729 m. Reverend Alexander White. Alexander was licensed in
England as a Minister on 6-10-1745, received the Kings Bounty on 6-12-1745 and arrived in
Virginia at St. David's Parish, King William Co. When he married Elizabeth he acquired
"White Hall", in King & Queen, even though his parish was in King William.
Elizabeth and Alexander had one son that lived to maturity:
John White lived at "White Plains" in King William Co. and in 1785, sold his
land of 957 acres to John Garlick, son of Samuel Garlick and Mary Camm.
