The best time to start caring for your widows is while they are still at the manufacturer's and definitely before they ever make it to the job site. All too often, windows and window frames needlessly fall victim to recklessness during the construction process. Still others, having escaped damage to the end of the job are hopelessly subjected to inexperienced and even negligent cleanings performed in a hurry while trying to meet some urgent deadline in the construction process.
Masonry and other threatening contaminants are mindlessly scrubbed into the surface of the glass and metal with little concern for the consequences. Only later when the occasional meticulously inspecting customer discovers and protests the damaged goods, does anyone ever stop to consider that something must have gone wrong. Of course at this point, it is sadly too late, but the one consolation that is always there to fall back on is, "It was cheap."
