KENNA
STA. 403
This is the southern most station. It is located directly behind Station 70 (Southern Jackson County Volunteer Fire Department), Kenna, West Virginia. This is the most rural station that serves the southern part of Jackson County. It is situated close to I-77 and is also called upon by neighboring Kanawha and Putnam Counties for mutual aid. This station is staffed by a 24hr./ 7 day week crew that reside in a building supplied by the S.J.C.V.F.D. This station opened in the middle of 1999 and is fast becoming a very busy station. The people in this end of the county really wanted this station, and proved it by voting for a raise in the ambulance levy to run this service.
