Warning Description: Lake Wind Advisory

Warning Date: 3:01 am CDT on October 17, 2012

WarningSum:...Lake Wind Advisory Remains In Effect From 10 Am This Morning
To 7 Pm Cdt This Evening...

Warning Message:* event...a strong cold front will deepen across central Oklahoma
  this morning. This will result in a strong pressure gradient
  across the four state region with south to southwest winds
  increasing to 15 to 25 mph...with gusts to 30 to 35 mph today.
* Timing...the strong winds will increase around mid-morning...and
  persist through late afternoon.
* Impact...strong winds will make boating difficult on area
  waterways through much of the day. In addition...given the
  saturated ground conditions from a recent series of heavy
  rainfall...these winds may down some of the weaker rooted trees.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
