The 2007 Year End Banquet was held Saturday, November 3, at the American Quarter Horse Association Museum and Heritage Center. The Youth of the Year award, sponsored by the Cogdell family in memory of Billy Cogdell, was given for the second year. The award recognizes a PCHA youth member who exemplifies leadership, sportsmanship and people skills. Congratulations to the 2007 Youth of the Year, Cooper Cogdell. Colbran Larsen won the Roxanne Chase award as the most improved youth competitor. Way to go Colbran. Jeff Chase was the Top Hand for 2007. This award is presented to the member who is most supportive and helpful to members throughout the competition year. Thanks, Jeff. Year end awards were given in each class based on PCHA points. First place winners received handmade chaps by Hadley Reed; 2nd place awards were bits by Kerry Kelley; headstall buckle sets were given for third place; and 4th place prizes were chap bags.
